Gift Card Policy

The following terms and conditions of this Gift Card Policy apply to the Gift Cards (defined below) purchased or obtained from ROMWE (defined below).

This Gift Card Policy is issued by SHEIN DISTRIBUTION CANADA LIMITED (where applicable, "ROMWE" , "we" , "us" and "our" ) and is incorporated by reference into our Terms & Conditions ( "Terms" ). This Gift Card Policy governs the issuance, use, redemption and refunds of any gift cards, whether purchased by or issued to you at no charge ( "Gift Cards" ), on our website, ca.romwe.com (the "Canada Site" ) or on our mobile applications for the Canadian ROMWE storefront (the "Apps" ). Capitalized terms used but not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms.
Subject to applicable laws, this Gift Card Policy may be amended from time to time.
1. Redemption and Limitations
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Gift Card Policy, Gift Cards may be redeemed to purchase products and services made available on our online stores.
Gift Cards purchased or obtained after March 8, 2021 can only be redeemed on the site or storefront from which they were originally purchased or obtained. For example, if you purchased or obtained a gift card on the Canada Site, it can only be redeemed on the Canada Site or on the Canadian ROMWE store available via the Apps.
2. How to Purchase or Obtain a Gift Card?
When you place an order to purchase Gift Cards, the verification process is estimated to take 1-7 business days. The actual time frame depends on the payment method you select. The purchase order for such Gift Cards will be effective only upon the following conditions being met: (i) your acceptance of this Gift Card Policy; (ii) your full payment for such Gift Card(s); and (iii) your payment passes through our verification processes.
From time to time and in our sole and absolute discretion, we may issue promotional Gift Cards at no charge, which may be subject to further terms and conditions. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, such terms and conditions may include restrictions on redemption and expiry dates.
3. Gift Card Redemption
You may enter the Gift Card number and PIN number when you are checking out. The amount will be deducted from the Gift Card. If the payable balance is more than the balance remaining on the Gift Card, you must select other payment methods (excluding other Gift Cards) to pay for the remaining amount on your order.
Please note that only one Gift Card can be redeemed in connection with any given order and they cannot otherwise be "stacked" or combined with other Gift Cards for that same order.
4. View Balance
You may check your Gift Card balance in your account.
Your Gift Card balance cannot be withdrawn for cash.
5. Validity Period and Refund
Any Gift Card you purchase from us has no expiry date.
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, Gift Card purchases are non-refundable.
As noted above, Gift Cards issued by us to you free of charge may have an expiry period, generally ranging from 1 day to 3 months (or potentially longer), from the date of issuance, depending on the type of Gift Card and the terms and conditions attached thereto at the time of issuance at our discretion. Once the validity period on a Gift Card expires, the Gift Card cannot be redeemed.
Regardless of whether a Gift Card is a paid or free Gift Card, if an order is paid by a Gift Card for which a refund is issued, the portion paid by the Gift Card will be returned to the Gift Card.
6. Potential Reasons for Gift Cards Not Received
When ROMWE issues you a Gift Card, the Gift Card Number and PIN will be sent to the email address you provided in connection with your order (or such alternative methods that ROMWE may identify). If you do not receive your Gift Card number and/or your PIN, it may be for various reasons, including:
  • You entered the wrong or invalid email address when purchasing the Gift Card. Please contact Customer Support to confirm and change the email address.
  • Your inbox is full. Please ensure you have sufficient space in your inbox (or check your junk folder), then contact Customer Support to resend.
  • Our emails have been blocked by your mailbox. Please add romwe.com to your whitelist, then contact Customer Support to resend.
7. Gift Card Lost or Stolen
ROMWE is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards. For the avoidance of doubt, ROMWE will not be responsible if a lost or stolen Gift Card is subsequently used without your authorization (e.g. redeemed on an unrelated account). As such, please ensure that you are taking proper means to secure your Gift Card number and PIN from unauthorized access and use.
